Registration for the 2021 Summer Reading Program is now open and everyone, from birth to adults, can join in the fun. Participants may register online at alamedafree.beanstack.org. Registrants can participate from home, on a mobile device, or while on vacation. This year prizes include ice cream cones from Tucker's Ice Cream, seed projects, and books to choose and keep forever. Prizes earned can be picked up at the Main Library in August.

The library has a full schedule of special programs and events, allowing everyone to participate in fun reading and learning activities. The Children's department will be offering Virtual Camp-out, Virtual Crafternoons, in-person Teddy Bear Picnic story times in the parks, and Storywalks®. For more information on these programs, visit here or contact the Alameda Free Library's Children's Department at (510) 747-7705.

This free program is made possible through the donations to Friends of the Alameda Free Library and by supporters like you.
